On Saturday, March 14, the Thumb Area Center for the Arts and Caro Rotary Club (Rotary Night) hosted an evening of murder mystery intrigue, dinner, silent auction, and prizes for great detective work!  The Dinner & Mystery took place at the Brentwood Back Room for an evening of laughs and mingling with a top notch cast of area actors who were DYING to entertain us.  Attendees supported our hosts with the highest bid on some incredible silent auction items.  There was definitely something for everyone at this event!

For our entertainment, we were guests at the final celebration of Georgio Tortoni's life work.  His tragic passing meant that his beloved historic winery must be sold!  There are many who would have and did kill to own the valuable land it sits on.  The cast of characters (and suspects): an FBI reject, a Texas land developer, Georgios two feuding daughters, his lackey limo driver and executor of his will, and the mamas boy who will do anything to please his money hungry matriarch, entertained and interacted with us throughout the evening.  We meet them, grill them for motive, collected the clues, and saw who got killed next!  The winner solved the mystery and won a prize of Specialty Winery Wines!

Cocktails began when doors opened at 5:30 pm.  Dinner courses and entertainment began at 6:00 pm with the silent auction and mystery to conclude at approximately 8:30 pm.  Dinner was an Italian Twist of Alfredo Chicken, Salads and Dessert.  Cash bar.  Tickets were $40 per couple or $25 per single ticket and were available at both the Brentwood, 178 Park Drive, Anderson, Tuckey, Bernhardt & Doran, P.C., 715 E. Frank St. and AAA Caro Office at 810 S State St. in Caro,  For more information, call Mary at 989-274-8379 or Cindy at 989-672-6001.  All proceeds went benefit both Caro Rotary Club and the Thumb Area Center for the Arts.
