Rotary District 6310 8th Annual Foundation Gala
John and Cindy and Brenda along with spouses and Catalina attended the District Rotary Foundation Gala Friday Night. The fellowship and the meal were absolutely amazing. The Theme of the Dinner at Zehnders was "Old is New”. Our Chef announced that he brought in 150 year old recipes that were so fabulous. We had Hand Picked Wild Rice Soup from Northern Minnesota with chicken, mushroom, celery and carrots that was so good. We had a Salad with Young greens, roasted almonds/walnuts with smoked apple bacon, feta cheese, and pickled beets with a vinaigrette dressing. We had Breaded Veal (150 year old recipe) with squash, French cut baby green beans with Cheesy potatoes and of course Bavarian Chicken. The dessert was to die for Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.
Most importantly we learned that all who participate in the Foundation Giving are all "Hero's" to women, children and families of whom we will never meet. This is why "I am proud to be a Rotarian"
